Woman from the U.S. Claims to Be Madeleine McCann—Says DNA Test Confirms It

Eugenea Collins adamantly claims she is the long-lost British girl.

An American woman is making shocking assertions that she is Madeleine McCann, the British child who vanished nearly two decades ago. She insists that DNA tests support her claim.

Madeleine’s disappearance at age three gripped the world in 2007. She went missing from her family’s vacation apartment in Portugal while her parents were out, triggering one of history’s most infamous missing person cases.

Now, almost twenty years later, Eugenea Collins asserts she has finally uncovered the truth—declaring that she is, without a doubt, the girl who vanished all those years ago.

Residing in Arkansas, Collins has persistently shared posts on social media, adamantly claiming to be the real Madeleine. She even alleges to have ‘DNA evidence’ backing her statements.

The 22-year-old has blue eyes and blonde hair, and she was born on October 23, 2002. While this makes her close in age to Madeleine, there’s a five-month difference—Madeleine was born on May 12, 2003, in Leicestershire, England.

Despite this inconsistency, Collins remains certain of her identity. She told the Daily Mail that her doubts about her past first surfaced after watching Polish woman Julia Wandelt make similar claims on Dr. Phil’s talk show.

Julia Wandelt also claimed to be Madeleine McCann, the missing daughter of Kate and Gerry McCann. However, a DNA test later debunked her assertions, proving she had no biological connection to the McCann family.

After making her claims public, Wandelt encountered legal trouble. As reported by the BBC, she was charged with stalking the McCanns in the UK—allegedly overwhelming them with messages, sending a letter, and even appearing at their home.

Collins looked back on the moment and said, “If I hadn’t watched her on Dr. Phil, I would have never known. In a way, her ignorance actually helped me reconnect with my family.”

“I saw the age-progression images, and it was like looking into a mirror. I just know I found pictures of myself online—and they say I’m missing,” she stated.

To strengthen her case, Collins has been posting photos and videos on TikTok, highlighting what she believes is her resemblance to the missing girl. She also shared her ancestry DNA results, revealing that she is 68 percent English and Northwestern European. According to her, this serves as undeniable ‘proof’ of her true identity.

Furthermore, Collins claims she has faced difficulties in obtaining official identification documents. She insists she has never seen her original birth certificate, stating, “The only thing I saw had someone else’s name written on it, which was crossed out and replaced with mine.”

Collins has also revealed what she describes as a complex and puzzling family background. She states that she has no connection to the man she was told is her biological father. Shockingly, she alleges that her real father bears a striking resemblance to a German man named Christian B, a convicted pedophile.

At one time, Christian B was considered a key suspect in Madeleine McCann’s disappearance. However, due to a lack of concrete evidence, he was never officially charged in relation to the case.

Collins remembered meeting her alleged father only a handful of times and shared, “I was always told he wasn’t right in the head. We were never allowed near him. I never knew the reason.”

“The moment I saw photos of Christian B, I immediately recognized him. I was told my entire life that he was my biological father.”

Despite her assertions, many remain deeply skeptical of Collins’ claims. Critics have highlighted noticeable physical differences between her and Madeleine, including the unique marking in Madeleine’s eye and distinct variations in their ear shapes.

Collins, however, has addressed these doubts by pointing out ‘scars’ behind her ears, which she suspects may indicate past medical procedures or modifications.

She has opened up about her struggles on social media, writing, “I always felt like something was missing in my life, but I couldn’t figure out what. The emptiness was unbearable. The sense of not belonging wasn’t just in my mind—it was real because I truly didn’t belong here.”

She called the experience life-changing, stating that after reaching this conclusion, it feels “as if a huge weight has been lifted off my chest.”

“This isn’t just another false claim. I truly am Madeleine McCann,” she insisted.
