While performing at her usual spot on the Santa Monica promenade, 16-year-old violinist Karolina Protsenko was interrupted by a cute toddler who asked her to play “Beautiful Things.” Always a good sport, the teen virtuoso flashed the youngster a big smile and immediately began playing the uplifting melodies of Benson Boone’s hit. Karolina’s playing was filled with incredible elegance and beauty, and she even incorporated a skipping and twirling dance into her performance—all without missing a single note.
The toddler and her brother nearly stole the spotlight as they joined Karolina in her dance, energetically jamming along with a tambourine and ukulele, while other kids danced in the background. Performances like this are a reminder of how music has a unique way of bringing people together. The Music Man is excited to showcase emerging talents like Karolina and has a strong feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more from her in the future!
