A veteran teacher has resigned after admitting to watching explicit content during a physics lesson attended by 13- and 14-year-old students, though he claimed it was “unintentional.”
Shocking footage captured 62-year-old Razif Nurgaliev smirking at adult content on his screen—apparently unaware that the images were being broadcast onto the classroom monitor, fully visible to his students.
Nurgaliev, who had been teaching for nearly four decades, reportedly viewed the material after assigning work to his mixed-gender class in Tashkinovo village, near the Russian city of Neftekamsk.
Reports state that Nurgaliev had forgotten his laptop was still connected to the electronic blackboard.
One of the students discreetly recorded the shocking incident from behind a physics textbook, capturing the moment as it unfolded.
At first, a school source attempted to shift the blame onto the teenagers, suggesting they had played a prank on the longtime teacher.
However, when questioned by education officials, Nurgaliev admitted, “I clicked on something, and some website opened.”
Nurgaliev explained that he had been attempting to access an online journal and had not deliberately intended to view the explicit content.

According to the school’s head, Rudania Burkhanova, Nurgaliev was described as being “in shock” after the footage went viral.
However, following outrage from parents, the teacher resigned immediately, despite the school’s desire to keep him, citing his previously exemplary career.
A school source admitted that finding a replacement physics teacher would be difficult.
The school emphasized that Nurgaliev was “valued and respected” throughout his nearly 40-year tenure and reiterated that the broadcast of explicit content had been purely accidental.
In response to the incident, the school launched an internal review after the footage spread on social media.
“A review is currently underway, and comments will be provided later,” Burkhanova initially stated.
Nurgaliev is seen left with other members of staff at the school, where he had worked for decades before quitting
“I need to hear from both parties: I’ve already spoken with the children and the parents, and I’ll be speaking with the teacher as well.
Only after hearing both sides will I make a final decision. No comments for now.”
Authorities in the Russian region of Bashkortostan have also launched an investigation, and the laptop has been seized.
