Meghan Markle releases a new photo of Princess Lilibet, but sharp-eyed fans claim, “The body and feet don’t match.”

The Duchess of Sussex marked the first day of spring by sharing a rare photo of Princess Lilibet, but it wasn’t the basket of strawberries in the foreground that captured the most attention. Instead, a small detail in the background sparked a flurry of conversation among netizens.

Meghan Markle posted the adorable image on Instagram on March 21, showing Princess Lilibet holding a basket of strawberries outdoors. Her tiny feet peeked out from beneath the basket, adding a sweet touch to the moment.

“Cheers to the first day of spring!” the Duchess wrote in the caption. In the background, a foot—likely belonging to Prince Archie—was visible behind his sister. While the photo didn’t show any faces, it quickly gained attention for another surprising reason: the focus on Lilibet’s feet.

When someone asked what seemed strange about the post that sparked all the attention, another user replied, “The feet and body don’t match up.”

One person pointed out, “Look at the feet UNDER the strawberry basket. They don’t seem connected to the body holding the basket.”

Another simply commented, “Weird feet under the strawberry basket,” while someone else added, “Yep, totally photoshopped because the feet are facing the wrong direction.”

More users questioned the image, noting that the visible feet and body didn’t quite match what would be expected for children Lilibet and Archie’s ages. Some speculated the kids looked older than they actually are, while others wondered why such blurry photos were shared in the first place.

The royal couple’s children have previously attracted attention due to their looks. In early March, Meghan shared a video montage of a family baking session with Prince Harry and their kids. However, fans quickly pointed out how much Archie and Lilibet had grown, particularly in terms of their hair and size.

Meghan captioned the video, “When making thumbprint cookies at home turns into a family event! Thanks @heartmom & @clarewaightkeller for the love and extra help!”

In the video, a girl who resembles Lilibet joins the baking session, dressed in purple pants and a headband. Meghan shares a kiss with Archie, and their dog, Pula, makes a brief appearance. Friends like Kelly McKee Zajfen and designer Clare Waight Keller also take part. The thumbprint cookies, made with Meghan’s raspberry jam, turn out golden and glossy. Fans had varied reactions, with some questioning Archie’s appearance, calling it inconsistent or even “fake.”

People also questioned their sizes, with one person asking, “Why does the girl look bigger than the boy?” Another commenter skeptically noted, “That doesn’t look like a 3-year-old girl or a 5-year-old boy.” Meanwhile, one fan speculated, “They’ve been photoshopped—looks like a different child every time!”

A keen-eyed observer spotted a change in hairstyle, commenting, “Wow. Last Halloween his hair was super curly. Now it’s as straight as can be. Interesting.”

Someone with a similar view added, “Blonde hair, yet she says Lilibet has red hair?”

Meanwhile, another user shared a different take, saying, “He has red hair like his dad, I see.”

Meghan and Harry have mostly kept Archie and Princess Lilibet out of the public eye. However, since the Duchess launched her new Instagram account in January 2025, she has begun offering occasional glimpses of their children on social media.
