Knife Sheath’s Shadow –  3rd Anniversary Stirs Idaho Horror

On the eve of the anniversary on November 13, 2022, “Drop De*d Serious” host Ashley Banfield talked about new pictures of the knife sheath left at the Moscow, Idaho, murder scene. Its stark black Ka-Bar handle was a haunting reminder of loss.

On the left, two smiling young women with long blonde hair. On the right, a young man, wearing a tie-dye shirt, is embraced from behind by a smiling woman.

The pictures are sharp and eerily clean, and they pull at hearts that are still raw from the murders of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin, who had their lives stolen in their off-campus home.

Banfield’s voice broke as she pointed out how big the sheath was, too big for a casual pocket, and how it screamed intent in a quiet college town.

She asked, “How does something so damning stay spotless in a bloodbath?” Her words echoed the pain of families who have to live through the nightmare every day.

The evidence, which has Bryan Kohberger’s DNA on it, is a silent witness that calls for justice to finally take hold.

The DoorDash driver’s story was the most shocking part of the episode. A young woman was delivering food just ten minutes before the attack, and her narrow escape was a miracle in the middle of an ordinary task.

“She was so close to that door, to those screams,” Banfield said in a quiet voice, as if fate were fragile.

It’s a scary “what if” that makes every parent feel sick, showing how evil can be right in front of you.

Banfield attacked Kohberger’s online fans, saying their “innocent” pleas were like rubbing salt in the wounds of survivors. “Clean sheath or not, the proof piles high—don’t mock the mourning,” she said, her passion a fire for the lost.

As the trial drags on, her call becomes more urgent: demand answers, honor the four, and make sure no family has to wait in limbo’s cold embrace.

This anniversary isn’t the end; it’s a call for truth that reminds us of four people who needed more time.

Kaylee’s laugh, Madison’s spirit, Xana’s warmth, and Ethan’s kindness are all gone, but they will always be remembered. In their honor, let’s fight for quick justice. One sheath’s shadow can’t cover up a lifetime of light.
