King Charles and his spouse, Camilla Parker Bowles, have faced numerous challenges over the past year. Last winter, Charles received a cancer diagnosis and has allegedly been receiving medical care ever since. While he hasn’t disclosed the specific type of cancer, the monarch has remained committed to his royal responsibilities despite undergoing treatment.
Recently, Camilla said goodbye to one of her beloved longtime companions—her rescue dog, Beth, who had been by her side for years. However, Charles and Camilla are delighted to share that they have welcomed a new rescue pup into their home.

Camilla Parker Bowles Welcomes a New Rescue Dog into the Royal Family
Charles and Camilla have carried on with their royal responsibilities since Queen Elizabeth II passed away in 2022. His coronation took place in May 2023, and despite his medical treatments, both have consistently attended royal events and public engagements.
At home, however, the couple enjoys unwinding, and to them, an ideal household always includes pets. During a royal engagement at the Beaney House of Art & Knowledge in Canterbury in late February, Camilla shared an unexpected revelation. She was captured on camera announcing that she had recently adopted a dog.
“I’ve just welcomed a new puppy,” Camilla shared in the video, uploaded to X. “Her name is Moley. [She] resembles a mole so much,” Camilla added. The pup is a rescue, just eight weeks old when Camilla brought her home. Moley comes from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, an organization Camilla has supported for years as a dedicated patron.
The Royal Family’s Timeless Love for Dogs Continues as Camilla Adopts a New Rescue
Moley may be the latest member of the household, but the pup is far from the royal family’s first. Sadly, Camilla had to say goodbye to her beloved rescue dog, Beth, in late 2024 after a tumor was found. However, the royals have cherished dogs for generations, as most monarchs have always had a four-legged companion.
Queen Elizabeth II had a deep love for dogs and often kept multiple corgis at once. Prince William and Kate Middleton also have a furry companion—a spaniel named Orla, gifted to them by Kate’s brother, James Middleton. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also avid dog lovers. Meghan recently revealed on Instagram that she had to bid farewell to her longtime best friend, a beagle named Guy, in early 2025.
While Camilla will forever hold a special spot in her heart for her beloved pup Beth, she appears overjoyed to welcome another furry addition to the royal family, ready to shower Moley with love and attention.
