Harry Furious as Meghan Promotes Netflix Show With Kids

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are at war as the Duke ‘explodes’ over his wife featuring their children in a promo for a Netflix show. Slide 1 of 100: Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, seen on his visit to La Soufriere volcano sites on May 10, 2022, in Wallilabou Bay, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The spat has thrown the once-unbreakable couple to the breaking point, with fair-weather friends flocking to the weak palm tree of their marriage—thanks in part to a bomb when it comes to TV ratings for their show and an untimely end of a $100 million deal with Netflix.

The drama kicked off when Meghan, 44, posted rare behind-the-scenes snaps of six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet on the set—including one of Archie holding a director’s clapperboard and another of the pair watching as she filmed a scene.

As Meghan captioned the images as heartwarming family moments, insiders insisted Harry, 40, saw them as grotesque exploitation. “Harry was furious,” a source told the tabloids.

He has always been so protective, and the kids living in the public eye was something he never wanted for them after everything he had gone through as a child. Meghan forged ahead nonetheless, hoping to elevate the show after it bombed.”

The dispute devolved when Netflix said it would not extend the lucrative deal it struck with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex last year—whose contract is set to expire March 31 for reasons unrelated to racial concerns—calling their ventures an “expensive flop.”

“With Love, Meghan” didn’t even break the top 300 shows in early 2025; it was streamed for only 25.5 million viewing hours—an underwhelming performance for a series connected to Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, As Ever.

Critics labeled it “insipid” and self-serving, with Harry’s polo documentary performing even worse, topping under half a million viewers.

Royal expert Hugo Vickers added his voice, advising Harry that “he ought to be very annoyed,” and predicting the children could grow up to “resent… being exploited” for content.

“They’ve been protected from their royal heritage but paraded for ratings,” he said. Friends are worried that this row could be a sign of fundamental cracks, particularly as the couple will no longer benefit from their Netflix windfall when they’re strapped for cash.

Meghan’s team has defended the posts as innocent gestures, stressing her adoring motherhood. But amid whispers of therapy sessions and disjointed travel plans, the Sussexes’ own fairy tale seems broken. Will it be the scandal that ruins their dream of making it in Hollywood? Keep watching as the fallout continues.
