Denise Richards Joined OnlyFans in 2022, Following Her Daughter’s Lead
Denise Richards and her daughter, Sami Sheen, follow a single rule when it comes to their individual OnlyFans accounts.
Richards, 54, became a member of the platform in 2022, just a week after her 20-year-old daughter, Sami, had signed up.
Discussing her choice to join, the actress previously shared with KTLA that while she had heard of OnlyFans, she wasn’t initially familiar with how it worked. She explained, “After learning more about it, I realized the platform combines the best features of various social media sites into one.”
Sami doesn’t mind her mum being on OnlyFans, and both of them fully support each other’s activities on the platform – even teaming up for a collaboration in 2022.
Still, there’s one guideline they both make sure to follow.

Simply put, they avoid each other’s content on the platform.
In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE, Sheen confirmed, “No, that would be weird,” while Richards agreed, saying, “Yes, we definitely set that boundary.”
So, what led her to OnlyFans? Sheen revealed that her goal was to move into her own place, but her job at a candy store wasn’t bringing in much money. That’s when she turned to what she saw as “the next best thing”—joining OnlyFans.
She added, “It’s opened so many doors for me. I’ve connected with amazing people, and I love having the freedom to be my own boss, set my own hours, and finally do the things I’ve always dreamed of.”
“I’ve got a pretty solid routine now. I just switch up outfits, take requests from my subscribers, or chat with other girls and watch videos for fresh ideas.”
Richards also shared her reason for joining the adult platform, saying, “I honestly did it because I didn’t really get what OnlyFans was. I’d heard of it… and when I saw Sami getting so much backlash, it really upset me, both as a mom and a woman in this industry.”
The Wild Things star is the mother of Sami and her sister Lola, whom she shares with her ex-husband, actor Charlie Sheen.

When his daughter joined OnlyFans, former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen made it clear he didn’t support her choice.
“She’s 18 now and living with her mother. This didn’t happen under my roof,” he told Us Weekly at the time.
“I don’t approve of it, but since I can’t stop her, I encouraged her to keep it classy, be creative, and never compromise her integrity.”
Sami later addressed the backlash on TikTok, saying, “I am not a porn star. I don’t meet up with people or film explicit content. That’s not what I do—but I also don’t judge those who do.”
“That’s just not the kind of work I do, and it’s not something I’m comfortable with.”
Richards has also stood up for her daughter, posting on Instagram in 2022 that she ‘can’t judge her choices’ since she did ‘Wild Things & Playboy,’ adding, “Honestly, her father shouldn’t be judging her either.”
