Cardi B shared that she was hospitalized due to a “medical emergency” and will be unable to perform at One MusicFest this Saturday.
“I’m devastated to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency over the past few days, and I won’t be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” the rapper posted on Instagram Wednesday.
“It truly breaks my heart that I won’t be able to see my fans this weekend, and I really wish I could be there.”
The “Bongos” rapper went on to thank her fans for their “understanding” and assured them she would “return better and stronger soon.”
“Don’t worry. Love y’all,” she concluded, adding in the caption, “Thank you for understanding… I’ll see you soon 🫶🏽.”
Cardi gave fans an initial glimpse into her health situation on Monday night when she went Live on Instagram from her hospital bed. During the stream, she called out a prank caller who had reported her to child protective services, falsely claiming her three children were in danger.
In the video, Cardi admitted she could barely “breathe” as she spoke to her viewers, stating, “Motherf–kers have taken s–t too f–king far when you mess with my f–king kids.”
Her hospitalization comes just a month after the Grammy-winning artist gave birth to her third child with estranged husband Offset, with whom she is currently navigating a divorce.
Earlier this month, Cardi addressed rumors that she had undergone plastic surgery following her latest pregnancy. She shared a video where she talked about how she’s losing weight all over her body, except for her face.

The news follows shortly after the singer addressed rumors about plastic surgery after the birth of her third child with estranged husband Offset.
“This is how my body REALLY LOOKS LIKE,” she tweeted, sharing recent photos of herself in a nude black dress.
“My body looked exaggerated in the other video because I had a 5X faja [girdle] on… I want y’all to use your brains. Y’all were just praising my body a few days ago… do you honestly think I had surgery in just two days?”
