Brad Pitt’s Lesser-Known Siblings: The Brother Who’s a Business Mogul and the Sister With Strong Faith

While Brad Pitt’s fame in Hollywood is well-known, his siblings have also carved out impressive lives away from the public eye. Together, they share a strong bond built on family values and a commitment to giving back to their communities. Their contributions, though not as widely recognized, have made a meaningful impact.

Born to William and Jane Pitt, Brad and his siblings grew up in Springfield, Missouri. Their parents instilled a deep sense of community and service, values that would go on to shape the paths of all three children.

Brad, the oldest sibling, made his mark in Hollywood and became an international superstar, while his younger siblings, Doug and Julie, chose different paths. Despite their varying careers, the Pitt family remains united by a strong dedication to supporting others.

Doug Pitt: The Business Mogul with a Heart of Gold

Doug Pitt, born in 1966, is the second-born of the Pitt family and has always proudly called Springfield, Missouri, home. While his older brother found fame in Hollywood, Doug made the conscious decision to stay grounded in their hometown.

He raised his three children — Landon, Sydney, and Reagan — in the very same home where he spent his own childhood. Alongside his wife, Lisa, he has built a family life centered around community, faith, and service. Doug’s career stretches across several industries, including real estate, technology, and philanthropy.

As the founder of Pitt Technology Group, he transformed a small computer repair business into a top provider of professional tech solutions.

In addition, he runs Pitt Development Group, a company focused on creating medical office spaces. However, Doug’s influence extends far beyond the business world — his true legacy lies in his philanthropic work.

In 2008, Doug launched Care to Learn, a nonprofit focused on meeting children’s critical needs in health, hunger, and hygiene. Since then, the organization has helped more than three million kids throughout Missouri, making sure they have access to the essentials they need.

His dedication to global initiatives is just as remarkable, highlighted by his 2010 appointment as the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Republic of Tanzania.

Doug also partners with WorldServe International to bring clean water to communities in East Africa, showcasing his deep commitment to making a positive difference.

Despite his many achievements, Doug also has a playful side. In 2012, he appeared in a cheeky ad for Virgin Mobile Australia. Titled “The Second Most Famous Pitt,” the commercial humorously showcased his lesser-known status compared to his superstar brother.

The ad quickly went viral, racking up over a million views within its first week. Doug later charmed audiences again by spoofing Brad’s famous Se7en scene in an ad for a local brewery — only this time, the dramatic reveal was swapped out for a bottle of craft beer.

Doug’s commitment to his family and community has brought him numerous awards and honors, yet he stays modest about all he has accomplished.

Before fully dedicating herself to family and philanthropy, Julie worked as a preschool teacher, reflecting her enduring passion for fostering the growth and development of young children.

The Pitts’ Legacy of Giving Back

Though each of the Pitt siblings has followed a unique journey in life, they are united by a shared sense of compassion and a strong commitment to giving back. One of their most significant joint endeavors was a generous $1 million donation in 2009 to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

The funds went toward creating the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center, named in tribute to their mother, whose deep commitment to children’s causes inspired the donation. The center continues to offer vital care to young patients, including employing the only pediatric oncologist in the area.

Their mother, Jane, has expressed immense pride in her children’s efforts to tackle needs both at home and around the world. In a 2018 interview, Jane spoke highly of Brad, Doug, and Julie for their impactful work. “I’m very proud of all my children,” she shared. “They see a need and step in to fill it.”
