At 70, I’m Still in Adult Films – And Now My Daughter Has Joined the Industry

In a time when career choices often highlight generational divides, Seka Black and her daughter Nessi are defying convention in an unexpected way — both have chosen paths in the adult entertainment field.

What’s more surprising? They openly cheer each other on through it all.

In a candid YouTube interview, Seka Black, now 70, and her 23-year-old daughter Nessi, shared the unusual but fascinating route that led them both into creating adult content.

Seka, once a major name in the American porn industry, skyrocketed to fame during the 1980s under the title “Platinum Princess of Porn.” Her bold image and magnetic personality earned her icon status in the business. In 2013, she published her memoir, Inside Seka, offering a personal look into her experiences and journey through the adult world.

Growing up alongside a brother and sister, Seka described her early years as “simple and uneventful.” Her family later moved to Hopewell, Virginia, where she became known affectionately as “Dottie.”

In high school at Hopewell High, Seka’s striking looks and warm personality didn’t go unnoticed — she took home the crown at a local beauty contest. That victory led to her being named Miss Southside Virginia, cementing her place as a young woman with star potential.

Her formative years in Virginia helped shape the path that would eventually lead her to the adult film industry, where she built a legacy few could rival.

“I gave up my job in accounting — now I’m just enjoying life,” Seka explained while discussing how she got started in adult content.

Nessi’s introduction to her mother’s career, however, came in an unexpected and personal way. During a family vacation to Disneyland, she happened to scroll through Seka’s phone — and uncovered a few revealing messages that clued her in.

“It was the furthest thing from what I imagined you’d be doing — but once everything clicked, I actually thought it was pretty awesome,” Nessi confessed.

It was always something that intrigued me, but I didn’t want to dive into it too early.”

At 18, Nessi started dabbling with camming platforms, though she didn’t fully immerse herself in adult content until she turned 20.

These days, both mother and daughter share space in the adult content world, including sites like OnlyFans — with Seka also taking roles in major productions from established adult studios.

While they steer clear of working together onscreen, the two support each other in plenty of other ways. Seka’s husband — and Nessi’s dad — stays busy behind the camera, handling both filming and editing duties.

“Dad does all my recording and edits — we honestly have a blast,” Seka joked.

Despite their generational gap, both women contribute different strengths. Nessi helps manage her mom’s online presence, while Seka offers guidance on navigating the adult business side.

“We were even trying to give you pointers back then! But your generation definitely has the edge when it comes to tech,” Seka noted.

Nessi made the jump into adult work after leaving a more conventional job that simply wasn’t fulfilling her.

“I wasn’t enjoying my job at the condo anymore, so I thought, ‘Why not give OnlyFans a shot?’” Nessi said. Her mom didn’t hesitate to back her up, telling her, “Go for it!”

Unlike many parents, Seka and her husband were completely on board with Nessi’s choice to dive into the world of OnlyFans — no resistance, no judgment.

Still, working in adult entertainment as a family can have its odd moments. Nessi admitted that things sometimes get uncomfortable when her mom’s fans slide into her DMs on Instagram.

Seka’s fame in the industry has only grown. She recently snagged a nomination for an AVN Award — the adult industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. And though she didn’t take home the prize, she turned heads on the red carpet in a dazzling ruby-red dress.

As for slowing down? That’s not in Seka’s plans just yet. “I just take each day as it comes — I’m winging it for at least another five years,” she said, grinning.

This honest and unfiltered story has ignited discussion around the evolving perception of adult content creation and how modern families are adapting to nontraditional careers.

Does having family support make it easier to pursue such work, or does it complicate boundaries between personal life and business? Regardless of where you stand, one thing’s clear: Seka and Nessi are charting their own course — side by side.
