AITA for not letting the neighborhood kids play in my backyard.

A new homeowner said that after she moved into a neighborhood with a lot of kids, she became popular with them because her yard had a trampoline and a playset. The kids in the neighborhood, who were between 5 and 9 years old, often asked to play in her backyard because the previous owner’s daughter let them. The woman has a newborn and a 4-year-old, though, and she values her backyard as a peaceful place to relax, especially since she works from home. She also doesn’t want to watch other people’s kids or let them play near her loud dog.

She politely says no every time the kids ask, but some parents in the neighborhood have been rude and distant toward her lately, probably because of the situation. She doesn’t want to seem rude, but she thinks it’s fair to keep her yard private for safety and peace. Setting limits on her space doesn’t make her rude or mean, so she’s not the A-hole.
